PBS has decided to discontinue their weekday syndication of "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood". I grew up with Mr. Rogers. There was always a lesson/theme in every show. It was a "quiet" time to slow down and gather one's thoughts. He taught to resolve conflicts peacefully; to like who you are as a person and that you are special just as you are. As the world gets more and more violent and our children seem to idolize tasteless and dangerous celebrities, I think these lessons are more needed now than ever. I hope that PBS changes their mind. First iPhone Post
Well, after months of trying to decide, then another month of waiting for the new version (then another week for it to get here) I finally have my iPhone. It was definitely worth the wait. I would love to see a Blogger app similar to Typepad though.

These are pretty funny. I liked the Japanese ones. It's amazing that people will actually get a tattoo that they don't know the meaning of, just because it "looks" cool.

George Carlin

George Carlin passed away yesterday at age 71. I remember seeing him on SNL back in the day, when it was still a funny show. He came to my college and on all of the posters and every article it warned that there would be foul language, but I guess too many parents associated him with Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends and decided to bring their kids. Of course in the next school paper there were all kinds of editorials about how they should have been warned. I think the editor actually added in a statement about how they were warned. I wonder if George knew about the stir he caused. If he did, I'll bet he found it funny.
